It’s been a cold weekend here in the South and today’s selection, many of them mellow classics, are great accompaniment to relaxing with something to warm you up if temperatures are falling. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a super week ahead!

As the sun prepares for bed here in the South, today also marks my last post of “Sunday coming down” but not the end of my Sunday music posts. I’ve enjoyed paying tribute to great musicians who shared their art so gloriously for so many years.  I must also thank those who have shared my passion with me. In particular I’d like to thank Joan from JUST JOAN 42    Joan’s commentary has made these posts all the more special for me. If you haven’t read her comments every week, do yourself a favour and languish in her reviews as I have done.

There are many other musicians who I have already covered in other posts. I’ll be taking a break for the next two weeks and coming back with a new slot called “Soul-filled Sundays”. I’m hoping to extend my repertoire of music to include more of the songs and musicians that I love, most of them going back a few years and reminiscent of special moments in my life. Today’s final “Sunday coming down tribute” goes to the Great Smokey Robinson who is still rocking at 77 years of age. What a sexy voice – ooh the agony and ecstasy of swooning over a voice like that. Have yourselves a fine week ahead! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Here’s wishing you all a wonderful Sunday coming down. I just couldn’t think of a better artist to pay tribute to and share my sundowner with today. It’s hard to believe that the great Gladys Knight is 73 years of age. It feels like yesterday when her famous song, Midnight train to Georgia was paying on the radio. She’s been called the Empress of Soul and I aint going to argue about that. In fact Gladys can tell you what old school was about. I hope that you all have yourselves a great week ahead and most of all, I hope you dance!
