I had a number of things in my head – very bad drought in one of our provinces, Climate change, terror attacks and all the “leaks” we’re bombarded with every day. But I’m also enjoying the humour on your page.
Btw – going to the north for a White Christmas this year – despite the mayhem. Still want to be an optimist.😀
I like “desert” here as both noun and verb, as it relates to climate change. I also saw this as a problem that becomes more manageable as we work on it, river to pond to disappearing completely. Nicely done. 🙂
Thank you you Joan – yes I was deliberate in my use of “deserting” Rivers can dry up to become deserts if we’re not careful but we can also be robbed of our futures not just from climate change but in many other respects too. While it appears bleak, I’m always of the view that if we see the picture this way, we should all be trying to prevent such a future in whatever way we can.😀
People don’t realize the magnitude of the changes we could make if each person just did their part. It seems small, but multiplied by millions, it adds up. Check your mail. 🙂
I’m starting to think that through social media, and how people shift trends – be it on shopping or elections of leaders, they have the power. The more important thing is how they use that power with more educated choices. Thanks Joan and I’ll see you on the other side!
I hope it doesn’t turn into a swamp. There’s only bad news, I fear. 😔
