    1. Thank you Kamal. I can’t help thinking that in today’s world, we need an active citizenry otherwise we may just be as guilty as those who lead us into disasters. I’m all for those who build bridges not walls๐Ÿ˜€

  1. I saw a recent FB post saying our current president is helping separate the political wheat from the chaff. The ones who stand up for what is right in times of challenge and controversy are the real leaders, the ones we need to re-elect when Trump gets knocked off his pedestal or impeached or whatever. MLK Jr knew what he was talking about. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Dear Joan – you have me falling off my chair with laughter. You don’t pull your punches. It’s not my place to pick on anyone’s President but I have to say that your President is causing a stir on all our news broadcasts but so is ours and Ms Brexit. Who knows what we will see as more European elections get underway.
My dear friend who is an astrologer would blame it on the alignment of the stars which seems to be causing some havoc. Maybe I’d be less generous. I think it’s unfortunate when any of our leaders embarrass us or misrepresent us – the citizens. I think it’s too late to reverse the fact that we are a global community. Instead we have to work with it. I’m pleased to see people from all over starting to stand up and take note/action.

      1. Beautiful melody, very relaxing. Thanks I needed that. One of my local friends says she does one hour a day of resistance and tries to be happy the rest of the time. I think that is a sound strategy. I put together a list of names and numbers of the US senators and reps for my state. I’ll spend my “hour a day” calling to let them know who I won’t re-elect if they wish-wash on the important issues. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This is a wonderful post Chevvy… That quote reminds me of a couple of verses from “The Invitation” by Oriah Mountain Dreamer…

“It doesnโ€™t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.”

“It doesnโ€™t interest me who you know or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me
    and not shrink back.”

If you’ve never read it… I know that you would enjoy it in its entirety…

Thank you for sharing with us…
and thanks for holding my hand in the flames.

    Since I suppose it is about 3 or 4 a.m. there…
I will bid you a most beautiful morning…

    Michael

    1. Oriah Mountain Dreamer, I’m thrilled to hear that you read her work. A very apt elaboration on Dr King’s quote. Thank you for your visit Michael and I hope the flames are cooling down. Rest well my friend!

      1. Hi Sweetheart!
Yes, I am up. Getting sleepy though.
Right now, I am trying to catch up on some reading.
I like to save you as one of my last ones because, as I told you before, I enjoy lingering here ๐Ÿ™‚
