In my country snow is a rarity experienced occasionally on some of our inland mountains. It is thus with great excitement and awe that we travelled on the panoramic Golden pass train from Montreux (Swiss-French) speaking part of Switzerland to Gstaad which is the German speaking part of Switzerland and sits at 1052m on the Swiss Alps. I just loved the fairytale houses on the way and the quaint little town that for lack of people, allowed us to take ownership of the deserted streets of the town. These pictures were taken in spring.
