When the dark hour descends
And billowing masts set sail
When ship’s bow divides waves
Let me salute at the helm
Leave legacy of gold setting sun
Blue skies for humanity’s dreams
And for those whom I have loved
Remember celebration’s laughter
And find gold nuggets gift wrapped
Hold dear my pearls of wisdom
And forgive my imperfections,
Empty chairs and cold spaces.
Though soft raindrops may fall
Look for rainbow’s bright glow
In your deepest moments of need
Above all be true to God living in you.
Good morning Chevvy…
This is so beautiful and filled with enlightenment. Those who are fortunate enough to sail along with you on your journey… will most assuredly hold dear your ‘pearls of wisdom’… This is just what I needed to read this morning. Thank you.
Hope your Sunday is filled with golden nuggets…

Good morning to you Michael. Every now and then I have to remind myself of what legacy I’d like to leave behind but always catching up on the imperfections. Thank you for joining me my journey. No meeting is wasted. So if my words touch you, I’m really pleased. Have a lovely Sunday! Best. Chevvy.

Thanks Lynz.Unfortunately written after attending the funeral of someone who died too soon. Death is always a reminder of our own infallibility.
